Mill stones and hardware

The Church Missionary Society introduced the cultivation of wheat. These are the querns that milled the flour that made the bread. In the background, a display of forged iron hinges, of the sort that was needed to hang a door on a barn or outbuilding. Sadly, the display blurrs the distinction between the authentic artefacts (such as the quern stones and iron hinges) and the modern props (such as the wooden crates and mock-writing-slate interpretive signs).
