Virtual German synagogues

Researchers in the architecture department at Darmstadt University of Technology have studied the documentary evidence of Synagogues that were destroyed in the holocaust.

Kaiserlautern synagogue

The website shows renderings of 3D CAD models of synagogues that formerly stood in Berlin, Dortmund, Dresden, Frankfurt, Hanover, Kaiserslautern, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, Nuremberg and Plauen. You can select English or German text.

My wife's Great Great Great Grandfather Israel Schwarz was the Rabbi of this Synagogue when it opened. He died in 1875
